Apple has lost its tablet copyright appeal against Samsung and is now being ordered to run a pro-Samsung statement on its own Web site. Just a few months ago, a UK judge said that Samsung's devices weren't as ?cool? as Apple's, and therefore couldn't have have copied the iPad maker's design.
Now the verdict is official and the court has ruled in Samsung's favor, Apple will have to make nice with its rival and issue a public apology stating that the Korean smartphone manufacturer is not a copycat, after all.
This isn't the first time Apple has been ordered to release such a statement. In July,?U.K. Judge Colin Birss ordered the tech giant to publicly apologize on several U.K. Web sites, including the Financial Times, the Daily Mail, Guardian Mobile magazine and T3. After making a big stink about it, Apple was granted a stay on the ruling.
