LG Optimus 3D Max now available in Europe, other markets coming soon

LG Optimus 3D Max

LG announced this morning that its next flagship 3D device, the Optimus 3D Max, will begin its global rollout in Europe today. The Optimus 3D successor first appeared at Mobile World Congress in February, flaunting a 1.2 GHz dual-core OMAP processor, a 4.3-inch WVGA display, and LG’s new 3D converter technology, which turns regular old 2D apps like Google Maps and Google Earth into 3D experiences. The Optimus 3D Max will ship with Gingerbread under the hood, though LG has said that an Ice Cream Sandwich update will be available shortly.

The Max will arrive in Germany first, with other European countries to soon follow. No word on carriers, pricing, or a US release, but we’ll be happy to keep our eyes and ears open for any more word. LG’s announcement (with full product specs) can be found after the break.
